Slacker Wines Stereotype 2016 Red Blend, Paso Robles
This incredibly full bodied yet balanced Slacker from the winemaker of Linne Calado is anything but... made from 70% Grenache, 25% Syrah, 5% Mourvedre grown in Willow Creek district of Paso Robles.
Matt Trevisan, the ‘slacker” behind the cult favorite Linne Calodo, concocted this organically grown wine using native yeast fermentation and aging it in large oak Foudres which impart subtle oak tones and leave the wine full of balanced fruit with a hint of spice. Matt describes the ethos of Slacker as, “Wine representing not only the winemaker, but the idea that wines should be fun and relaxed.” We agree, but secretly think this wine can also hold its own in the stuffy wine-snob world. When you’re a slacker you just know these things. Oh and sorry it’s not a screwcap.
