Clutch Wine Club Wine Note:
We love natural wine for it’s complexity, sincerity, and artistry. Sometimes, though, and we aren’t gonna name names, they can be a little too funky. This 100% organic Garnacha is so pure and clean, you might forget it fits the non-intervention, unfiltered category. Even more unbelievably, we have the desert to thank for that! The grapes are hand-picked from vines that average 40 years old on clay-calcerous soil just north of the Bardenas Reales, a natural park in the desert of Navarra. Due to the harsh climate with irregular, almost non-existent rainfall and extreme contrasts in temperature, the vines offer a naturally low production of small, highly concentrated grapes.
The juice undergoes wild fermentation in concrete tanks followed by 6 months in amphora* and 6 months in barrel.
But what does all of this mean for us?! Gorgeous dark ruby hues bursting with blackberry, raspberry, and a bit of baking spices with a medium weight and spicy, juicy finish.
Pair this beauty with aged manchego, a tagine of chicken and veggies, mediterranean fish or strawberries and cream. *more info in our tasting video!
