We ❤️ Ross and Bee Maloof and their intensely delicious wines with kick-ass labels. They have cool backstories too - Ross was a beverage director at a restaurant by James Beard nominated chefs, and Bee was a materials science engineer within the aerospace industry. Together in 2017 (with a good amount of dabbling in winemaking under their belts) they left their east coast careers to “be closer to the magic.” We’re so lucky they did.
This lighter bodied Syrah blend is bright and fresh but still has the depth we want when we reach for a red. On the nose we were met with violet and dark fruits, continuing with wild raspberry and blueberries on the palate. Was that a bit of earth on the finish? Yep, yes!
Ross and Bee say “Drink with Margherita pizza, doiiiii.” Yep, yes!
